Potential to be discovered
What do you know about India? 20 years ago everybody in Europe or America would tell: Ghandi, Taj Mahal, great epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. Nowadays students will tell IT, biotechnology, and a space programme. Probably in about twenty years’ time we will mention a branch of science which today has no name yet and nobody even can imagine it.
Maybe people are not as familiar with names like Tata, Reliance, Ranbaxy, or Mahindra as with Ford, Shell or Lloyds but sooner or later (rather sooner) they will be. Western people have become familiar with Bollywood movies, They even have fan clubs in our country and there are separate stalls with Indian films in shops.
Today India flies. Plenty of words can be written naming goods which could be exported in both directions or sold in the entire regions. We see that there are many fields, but co-operation is still below potential. Maybe it is not enough knowledge? Maybe business systems and expectations from different cultures do not fit each other? It seems that the main problem is to find a partner. Sometimes companies are too cautions to engage huge resources for excessive market survey and selection of potential partners. So it is high time to find them.
The only thing which need both parties is mutual “identification” and the will of co-operation. Everybody started once, everybody was small once. Have a try.
